Death Stars Walk It Off for 73rd Win of Season
|
The Detroit Death Stars scored a 4-3 win versus the Pasadena Bumblebees at The Death Star. Detroit right fielder Myoung-chul An nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Detroit reliever Raul Nunez picked up the win, upping his record to 5-13. Gilberto Chávez absorbed the loss. At 73-83, the Death Stars find themselves in 4th place in the Darryl Kile League Joe Torre Division.
With the bases empty in the bottom of the ninth, An delivered the knockout blow when he hit a walk-off solo home run to win it for Detroit. In the contest, An was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk.
