Mustangs Bang Out 10-5 Win Versus Astoria
|
The Billings Mustangs grabbed a 10-5 win over the Astoria Argonauts at Golden Fleece Park. Billings first baseman Way-ming Wang went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 to earn player of the game honors. Norberto Bianchi got the win, improving to 2-3. He held the Argonauts to 5 earned runs on 6 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 4. Billings occupies 4th place in the Darryl Kile League Cito Gaston League at 68-82.
Wang provided the big break for the Mustangs in the top of the fourth inning. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single, helping Billings to get the win.
"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Billings manager Greg Morgan.
