The Reno Raiders topped the Astoria Argonauts, 5-4, in 13 innings. Reno shortstop Ed Weston earned player of the game honors with his performance. He was 2-4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. Reno reliever Li-zhu Kuang picked up the win, upping his record to 2-9. Harmon Anstey shouldered the loss. With the win, Reno goes to 74-73, while the Argonauts fall to 66-81.

The Raiders got a clutch hit from Ken Donovan with no one out in the bottom of the 13th inning. Donovan jumped on a 1-1 fastball from Harmon Anstey and hit a walk-off solo home run, staking his club to a 5-4 lead.

"The game of baseball will test you," said Chris Brading, the Reno skipper. "This one tested us."
