Bombers Knock Off Death Stars at Bronx Ballpark
The Bronx Bombers beat the Detroit Death Stars, 8-2, at Bronx Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of shortstop Masanori Kato, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-5 with 2 doubles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Dwayne Wilberfoss was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. The Bombers saw their win-loss record go to 59-85. At the same time, the Death Stars fell to 71-76.

Nobuharu Ageda's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant for the Bombers. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Bronx leading 3-2, the center fielder drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
