Titans Beat Canadians, 11-6
|
The Chicago Titans topped the Vancouver Canadians by the score of 11-6, with the biggest share of the credit going to second baseman Jaswant Ghosal. Ghosal was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Titans on the day. Lorenzo Espinoza got the win, improving to 13-5. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 3. Chicago has now won 3 straight, while the Canadians have lost 3 in a row.
The Chicago win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Eric Humphrey. In the top of the fourth, the Chicago right fielder came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 1-0 lead.
"Feels good to get the job done," Humphrey said after the game.
