Tight Tilt Goes to Baristas, 4-3
|
Ashton Gate was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Silver Lake Baristas and the Canton Paczkis.
The Silver Lake Baristas eked out a 4-3 win versus the Canton Paczkis at Ashton Gate. Nobody did more than pitcher Arata Shimizu, who captured player of the game honors. Mike Salter notched his 2nd save in 2 chances.
The contest featured some late-game dramatics from Silver Lake third baseman Chan-ho Lim. In the bottom of the eighth inning, with no one out and a runner on 1st, Lim reached on an error by the 3B to help Silver Lake seize the win.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Canton skipper Omar Arteaga.
The last-place Baristas have won 4 straight.
