Freeze Win Another One
The Minneapolis Freeze defeated the Scranton Escape, 9-4, in Darryl Kile League action at Hell Stadium, with Minneapolis first baseman Miguel Olberos named player of the game. The winner was Hideyoshi Kawamura in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Roy Aitken took the loss. Scranton now has a 5-game losing streak.

An important at-bat for Minneapolis came with one out in the top of the second. With a runner on 1st, Olberos hit a 2-run home run, which contributed to the Freeze win.

"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Minneapolis manager John Justin.
