Zhou Stars in Islanders Win
|
The Hawaii Islanders cruised to a 12-4 win over the Jacksonville Jacks at Aloha Stadium today. Xiao-xuan Zhou led the way, going 3-for-3 for Hawaii. The win brings the Islanders to 18-13, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
One important at-bat for Hawaii came with two out in the bottom of the first inning. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Zhou hit a 3-run home run, which contributed to the Islanders win.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Zhou told reporters after the game.
