The Kansas City Tornadoes grabbed a 10-3 win over the Georgia Grays at The Death Star. Kansas City center fielder Bing-de Xian went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 to earn player of the game honors. Paul Woodrow, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 5 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 2. His record now stands at 2-0. The 5th-place Grays have dropped 4 straight games.
Franklin Gray was a key contributor to the win for the Tornadoes. In the top of the third with no one out, the light-hitting right fielder stroked a double to left. He was 2-5 with a double, while scoring 2 runs.
