Minneapolis Freeze starter Dave Sherrill pitched a strong game against the Scranton Escape at Hell Stadium, leading the Freeze to a 5-4 win. The winner was Bob Torley in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Bryan Billings took the loss. Minneapolis has run its win streak to 4 in a row.

Frank Chaulk made it 4-3 in favor of Minneapolis when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with one out in the top of the ninth. The Freeze went on to win.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant John Justin, the Minneapolis manager.
