The Philadelphia Freedom faced a tough opponent in Indian Wells pitcher Nicholas Winslow, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Bell by a final score of 5-4. Winslow went 6 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The Freedom saw their win-loss record go to 82-60. At the same time, the Aeropostales fell to 69-73.

The Freedom were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when second baseman Wang-gi Park turned a 1-0 curveball from Kevin Spurr into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent a roar through the crowd and gave Philadelphia a thrilling 5-4 win.

Park said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
