Loss Extends Pasadena Losing Streak

The Albuquerque Cacti beat the Pasadena Bumblebees, 7-4, at The Hole. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Christophe Langlois, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Reliever Tom Murchison picked up the win. His record improves to 7-3. Jim Unknown took the loss. Hisataro Sato, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 40th save.
Floyd McAuley contributed to the Cacti cause with a productive at-bat in the top of the seventh inning. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, giving Albuquerque the lead.
"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager Ramón Rosário. "But it's got to translate into wins."
At 75-65, the Cacti have a slim two-game lead in the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division.
