The Indian Wells Aeropostales turned back the Philadelphia Freedom, 7-6, at The Bell. Lewis Pitman was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. The Aeropostales raised their record to 69-72.
The Indian Wells win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Hsui-chen Shui. In the top of the second, the Indian Wells designated hitter came to bat and hit a 2-run triple. It staked his team to a 2-0 lead.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Shui told the Indian Wells Daily News.
