Canadians Lose, 8-4, at Golden Fleece Park
The Astoria Argonauts defeated the Vancouver Canadians, 8-4, in Darryl Kile League action at Golden Fleece Park. Ebrahim Magsi received player of the game honors. The 11-year veteran went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Dave Hamm in relief. His record improves to 7-2. Terry Hill took the loss. Ronald Lee sewed up the save, his 6th.

With one out in the bottom of the second, Misao Fujii lit into a fastball from Terry Hill for a 2-run home run. That made the score 2-0 in favor of the Argonauts. For the day, Fujii was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Fujii said. "That's how it goes."

With the win, Astoria goes to 63-77, while the Canadians fall to 68-72.
