The Chicago Titans did just enough to secure a 7-6 victory over the Billings Mustangs at Cobb Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Millard Dixon, who captured player of the game honors. Chicago reliever Millard Dixon was credited with the win, to go to 3-1. John Otten took the loss for Billings. The Titans, now 78-62, have won 4 in a row.
A key moment came in the top of the eighth inning when Titans catcher Aamir Hassani socked a 2-1 slider to right-center for a 2-run single, putting Chicago up, 6-5.
"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Hassani told the Chicago Herald.
