The Caterpillars had to overcome a fine performance from Bowling Green pitcher David Guzman to grab a 6-5 win at Excavatar Park. Guzman allowed no earned runs over 6 innings. Peoria has now won 4 games in a row.
Peoria's win came gift-wrapped. With two out in the bottom of the 11th, with the game tied, Gerardo Zapata reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run.
