Coronado used a superb performance from starting pitcher Russell Numbers to down the Antioch Coal Miners, 6-1. The Phantoms go to 67-72, putting them 5th in the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division.
In the top of the seventh inning, first baseman Giampaolo Marcovicci delivered a key hit for the Phantoms. With Coronado leading 2-1, he ripped a 3-run home run.
"I really like what we did out there today," Marcovicci said after the game.
