Fujii Goes Wild, But Raptors Win
The Omaha Raptors outlasted Misao Fujii and the Astoria Argonauts, 8-6. Fujii was impressive in the loss. The Astoria left fielder hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Jason Engel earned the save for Omaha, his 29th of the year. The Raptors, at 66-71, sit in third place in the Darryl Kile League Joe Torre Division.

Roberto Guzmán was a key contributor to the win for the Raptors. In the top of the first with two out, the light-hitting shortstop stroked a single to right. He was 1 for 5, while adding 2 RBI.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Guzmán told the Omaha Daily News.
