Racers Suffer 4-2 Setback
The exploits of first baseman Jesús Ortíz, who is tied for 5th in the NAL in home runs with 26, helped the Canton Paczkis defeat the Bowling Green Racers, 4-2. Ortíz went 1-2 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Paczkis go to 71-66, putting them second in the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division.

There was more than one reason the Paczkis beat the Racers, but Ortíz's big at-bat in the bottom of the fourth was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run home run.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Ortíz said after the game.
