Havana got a strong outing from Ijaz Kharoti as the Stogies defeated the Vancouver Pioneers, 4-2, at The Royal Court at Jersey Yards. Son Mai closed the game out for Havana, earning his 1st save. Havana is now 20-10.
Stamford, Connecticut-born Reynaldo Aguilera came through in the clutch. In the top of the third, with the bases loaded and the Stogies trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run double to center to put Havana on top.
"This team is on a mission," said Kharoti, who is one of the clubhouse leaders. "I like our focus."
