Canadians Saddle Banditos with 12-7 Loss
Acapulco catcher Shane Measures was sensational. He was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Vancouver beat the Banditos, 12-7. Measures was named the player of the game despite the loss. The win was credited to Bob Johnston in relief. His record improves to 6-5. Fabio de Kroon took the loss. The last-place Canadians improved to 65-70.

A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and one out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when pinch hitter Masayuki Kimura, who is tied for 10th in the NAL with a .509 slugging percentage, hit a 2-run single. The Canadians went on to win.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Canadians manager John Harrison. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
