Coal Miners Fall Short, 3-2, at Omaha
|
Omaha rode a good effort from starter Jesús Castillo to beat the Antioch Coal Miners at Anchorage Municipal Stadium. The final score was 3-2. Omaha currently is in 4th place in the Darryl Kile League Joe Torre Division at 64-69.
In the bottom of the second, Omaha left fielder Fulton Swatt had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Swatt stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 3-0, Omaha. For the game, he went 1-4, while adding 2 RBI.
"Jesús was throwing strikes, locating well," said Omaha manager Manuel Ruíz.
