10-2 Banditos Win over Canadians Evens Season Record
|
The Acapulco Banditos thumped the Vancouver Canadians, 10-2, at Underdogs Ballpark. Jean Bernard was a big reason his team got the win. Bernard went 4-4 with 4 singles, while scoring 3 times. Nobukazu Nakamura earned the win for Acapulco. He lasted 7.1 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 3-7. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Banditos.
With two out in the bottom of the fourth, Shane Measures hit a go-ahead 2-run double. It was his 18th double of the season and with it the Banditos took a 2-0 lead.
Vancouver manager John Harrison called the blowout loss "a real stinker."
