Raptors Deal Phantoms 6-4 Setback
|
The Raptors had to overcome a fine performance from Coronado pitcher George Peck to grab a 6-4 win at Phantoms Field. Peck allowed no earned runs over 5.2 innings. Omaha reliever Miguel Hinojosa was the winner. His record is now 1-4. Tetsuzan Ono took the loss. Omaha, at 63-67, sits in third place in the Darryl Kile League Joe Torre Division.
Omaha second baseman Esteban Oliveira helped the Raptors go up, 1-0, in the top of the second inning. With the game tied, Oliveira hit a run-scoring double off Coronado pitcher Tetsuzan Ono.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Oliveira told the Omaha Daily News.
