Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at The Coal Mine.

Antioch center fielder Fletch Hiller pounded Fort Worth Cats pitchers at The Coal Mine, but it was not enough to keep the Coal Miners from falling, 9-8. Hiller belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Robby Guzman picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-8. Nicolas Joubert was tagged with the loss.

Yoriyuki Tanaka said the idea of hitting a home run barely crossed his mind when he came to bat in the top of the tenth. Tanaka belted a solo home run to stake Fort Worth to a 9-8 lead. His 12th home run of the season came off Antioch pitcher Nicolas Joubert.

"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Antioch manager John Smiley.

At 67-63, Fort Worth is in third place in the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division.
