Aces Suffer 7-4 Setback
|
Kajal Ghandi made an impact in the 7-4 Cabo San Lucas win over Columbus. Ghandi, who was drafted in the three round of the 2021 draft, was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Masazumi Ohayashi got the win, improving to 3-4. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 9 and walking 1. The win brings the Toreros to 13-16, a soft start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
In the bottom of the 3rd, the Toreros grabbed the lead on a two-out home run by Ashis Mudigonda. Cabo San Lucas at the time was trailing 1-0, but Mudigonda's 3-run home run off Chris Riddle put his team in front.
"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Ghandi told the Cabo San Lucas Times.
