Antioch Makes It 9 Straight, Barely
|
Antioch Coal Miners starter Matsuyo Koda turned in a sterling performance against the Fort Worth Cats, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. The Coal Miners, at 88-40, have a comfortable 14½-game lead in their division.
The game came to an abrupt end with one out in the bottom of the tenth. On a pitch from Robby Guzman, Víctor Sandoval hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It gave Antioch the 3-2 walk-off win.
"This place was rockin'," said Sandoval.
