Though the conditions were not ideal, the Coronado Phantoms and Astoria Argonauts came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

Getting a good performance from catcher Brian Corbett, the Coronado Phantoms defeated the Astoria Argonauts, 9-3. Corbett went 3-5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Phantoms. You-liang Rang picked up the win, improving his season record to 9-4. He struck out 5 in 5.2 innings. George Peck, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.

A defensive miscue in the top of the second cost the Argonauts. With Coronado leading 2-0, Susumu Yamamoto reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run. Coronado ended up winning the ballgame.

In postgame comments to the Coronado Gazette, Yamamoto said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

With the win, the Phantoms improved to 64-64.
