The Antioch Coal Miners used an offensive barrage to beat the Fort Worth Cats, 10-2, at The Coal Mine. Roger Schäfer led the way, going 4-for-4 for Antioch. Lester Bisdu, the winner, improved to 15-6. He held the Cats to 2 earned runs on 4 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 1. Antioch has run its win streak to 8 in a row.

Also making an impact was designated hitter Víctor Sandoval, who drilled a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the fourth inning for the Coal Miners. For the game, Sandoval was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
