The Omaha Raptors had to overcome a big game from Chicago designated hitter Eric Humphrey to leave Anchorage Municipal Stadium with a 7-5 victory. Humphrey was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Esteban Torres got credit for the win, improving to 2-4. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. The Raptors, now 60-66, have won 5 in a row.
Omaha took a 7-5 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With two out, right fielder Fulton Swatt hit a 2-run home run that electrified the crowd.
"The vibe's good," said Omaha manager Manuel Ruíz. "We've got to keep it going."
