Coal Miners Squelch Argonauts Offense in Shutout Win
|
In a tight battle between the Antioch Coal Miners and the Astoria Argonauts, pitcher Matsuyo Koda was in the zone. The Antioch right-hander was named the player of the game in Antioch's 3-0 win. The first-place Coal Miners have won 4 in a row.
Roberto Torres changed the game with one swing of the bat. With no one out in the top of the seventh, the Antioch first baseman hammered a 2-run home run off Ernesto Villegas. It was his 6th home run of the season. With it, Antioch took the lead, 2-0.
