Aeropostales Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Canadians
|
The Indian Wells Aeropostales scored a 4-3 win versus the Vancouver Canadians at Stars Field. Indian Wells pinch hitter Craig Hilton nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Bappaka Ramanakoppa got credit for the win, improving to 4-4. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.2 innings. The current losing streak for Vancouver has reached 4 games.
The outcome might have been different had it not been for Hilton. In the bottom of the eighth inning, when the Aeropostales were trailing 3-2, Hilton delivered a two-out 2-run home run for Indian Wells, giving his team the lead.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Hilton, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
