Aces Get Past Cabo San Lucas for 5-4 Win
Field de Los Layendas was the site of a competitive game between the Cabo San Lucas Toreros and Columbus Aces.

Columbus beat Cabo San Lucas at Field de Los Layendas, escaping with a 5-4 win. The win in large part was due to center fielder Callum Mannion, who earned player of the game honors. He went 3 for 4 with a triple and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Amaui Mahi'ai earned the save, his 7th, for the Aces.

Cristo Morán made it 5-3 in favor of Columbus when he delivered a 2-run single. It came with one out in the top of the eighth. The Aces went on to win.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Cabo San Lucas manager Matt Johnson.

The Toreros fall to 12-16 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2032 season.
