The Minneapolis Freeze and starting pitcher Bruce Brown stifled the Reno offense en route to a comfortable 8-1 win at House of Pain. The first-place Freeze, at 66-53, now lead their division by 6˝ games.

John Lacenaire wielded some clout for Minneapolis. The shortstop had a 2-run home run in the top of the second for the Freeze. It put his team ahead, 2-0, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Lacenaire went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2.

"The beers will taste better tonight after this win," said the ever-candid Lacenaire.
