Big Day by Yokoyama Sparks Argonauts Win
Yaichiro Yokoyama was the difference-maker for the Astoria Argonauts in what turned into a shootout with the Billings Mustangs. Yokoyama earned the player of the game award after going 4-for-5 in the 10-9 Argonauts win. Jeff Schwartz converted his 4th save in 6 tries. The 5th-place Argonauts improved to 53-67.

Yokoyama had a game-changing at-bat for Astoria. It came in the top of the ninth inning with two out. Yokoyama hit a first pitch cutter from John Otten for a 2-run home run. It put Astoria in front, 10-9.

"Guys always talk about winning games because of the 'little things,'" Yokoyama told the Astoria Citizen. "Call me old fashioned, but I think baseball is about the big things -- like scoring more runs."
