The Fairfield Flash topped the Scranton Escape, 3-1, in Nick Adenhart League action at Hell Stadium. The player of the game was Fairfield pitcher and Canada native Gabriel Bernard. Bernard, the winner, moves to 10-5. He threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 1 walk. Manuel Martínez finished the game for Fairfield and earned his 15th save.

Juan Carlos Cruz came through for Fairfield in the top of the third. With no one out, Cruz victimized Bruno McCormick with a solo home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put Fairfield on top, 1-0.
