In a low-scoring affair between the Maple Marauders and the So Cal Republic, pitcher Dante Deleón was the difference between victory and defeat. The Maple left-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-1 Marauders win. Maple reliever Alonso Esquivel picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Elias Bowen shouldered the loss. Earning his 7th save for Maple was Marcos León.
So Cal had a runner on 1st in the top of the ninth. With no one out, Donald Latulippe came to bat, hoping to do some damage. Instead, he hit into a double play. The score remained 3-1, Maple. The Republic saw their comeback bid fail.
