Cacti Deal Aeropostales 5-3 Setback
|
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Albuquerque fans at Albuquerque Sports Stadium.
Albuquerque starter Gabresilassie Cherono had a strong outing against the Indian Wells Aeropostales at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-3 win. Albuquerque reliever Todd Anderson was credited with the win, to go to 8-4. Miguel Bernal took the loss for Indian Wells.
Albuquerque took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and a runner on 1st, Allen Foley stroked a run-scoring double to make it 3-2, Cacti.
Foley attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
The Cacti are now 62-54, while the Aeropostales fall to 57-61.
