|
Minneapolis left-hander Yaichiro Tamura helped his team edge Omaha by the score of 2-1. Tamura kept the opposing lineup in check. Tamura, now 3-6, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. Minneapolis is in first place in the Darryl Kile League Joe Torre Division with a record of 64-52.
Miguel Olberos produced a go-ahead single for Minneapolis in the top of the fifth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Olberos hit a run-scoring single off Jesús Castillo. It put the Freeze in front, 2-1.
