Aeropostales Come Up Short at Albuquerque
Pitcher Dan Thompson was sensational for the Albuquerque Cacti in his team's 2-1 triumph over the Indian Wells Aeropostales. Thompson received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Hisataro Sato closed the game out for Albuquerque, earning his 32nd save. Their 61-54 record puts the Cacti first in the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division.

Sergio Pérez in the bottom of the eighth had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Cacti leading 1-0, the Albuquerque shortstop hit a sacrifice fly.

"Runs were at a premium," said Albuquerque manager Lou Hampton.
