Sasquatch Win at San Francisco, 4-1
|
Matt Nolan never let San Francisco get something going. The Seattle right-hander commanded his cutter in pitching the Sasquatch to a 4-1 win. George Fortin earned the save for Seattle, his 4th. The Earthquakes, now 12-16, continue their sluggish start.
Seattle took a 3-1 lead on Robby Sanchez's 20th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Sanchez hit in the top of the seventh, left San Francisco pitcher Eric Markle visibly frustrated.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Sanchez.
