Kono Goes on Rampage Against Baristas
All game long, Fairfield's Susumu Kono was rattling the walls at Durham Bulls Athletic Park and banging out base hits against the Silver Lake Baristas. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Flash had a 16-9 victory.

Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 22-year-old second baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."

Susumu Kono flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 8th.
