Minneapolis starter Andrew Johnson pitched effectively against the Omaha Raptors at Anchorage Municipal Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. The first-place Freeze, at 63-51, now lead their division by 6 games.

Harley Ware drove in one run for Minneapolis. The 27-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the sixth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Edmundo Luas. It was his 32nd RBI of the season.

"Both teams played hard," said Minneapolis manager John Justin.
