The Banditos faced a stiff challenge from Fairfield pitcher Pat Bertram, but persevered to claim a win at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The final score was 7-2. Bertram went 5.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. The Banditos, at 55-57, sit in 5th place in the Nick Adenhart League Tony La Russa Division.
Acapulco catcher Shane Measures made his contribution to the Banditos cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning. For the day, Measures was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Measures.
