Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Reno Raiders got the win.
In a close game at Anchorage Municipal Stadium, the Reno Raiders edged the Omaha Raptors, 4-3. Reno third baseman Casey Freemann earned the nod as player of the game. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. The win was Diego Contreras's in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Roosevelt Roberts took the loss for Omaha.
Kichisaburo Tanaka made it 4-3 in favor of Reno when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with two out in the top of the eighth. The Raiders went on to win.
After the game, Reno manager Chris Brading applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
Reno occupies second place in the Darryl Kile League Joe Torre Division at 57-56.
