Bumblebees Solve Death Stars, 5-2
|
The Pasadena Bumblebees got a stellar effort from pitcher Bryan Fulcher, helping Pasadena score a 5-2 win over the visiting Detroit Death Stars. Fulcher went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 5, and struck out 5. His record improves to 5-2. Jim Unknown picked up the save for Pasadena, his 1st of the year.
Wayne Ford came through for Pasadena in the bottom of the first. With no one out, Ford victimized Armando Medina with a 3-run home run. It was his 17th home run of the season and put Pasadena on top, 3-0.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Fulcher told the Pasadena Citizen.
Pasadena, now 50-64, holds 5th place in the Darryl Kile League Joe Torre Division.
