Minneapolis Freeze starter Jorge Olivo was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Joplin Fireballs, 5-2. Minneapolis leads the Darryl Kile League Joe Torre Division by 5˝ games.

One of the key players for the Freeze was third baseman Akihiro Matsumoto, who drilled a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth inning. For the game, Matsumoto went 2-4 with a home run.

"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Matsumoto told the Minneapolis News.
