Raptors Edge Reno in Pitching Duel
Anchorage Municipal Stadium was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.

Omaha left-hander Harold Hayne was in fine form, shutting out the Reno Raiders, 1-0. Hayne, now 7-1, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 5, and allowing no earned runs. Jason Engel closed the game out for Omaha, earning his 20th save.

An impactful at-bat came in the bottom of the second inning. With a runner on 3rd, the batter, Marcos Ortíz, grounded out, driving in 1 run. It made the score 1-0, Omaha, and helped them go on to win.

"I was a little disappointed," said Reno manager Chris Brading. "We could've and should've scored more runs."

The Raptors improve their record to 51-61 with the win over Reno.
