Loss Extends Oklahoma City Losing Streak
The San Diego Hops went home winners at Memorial Circle Park, thanks in large part to starter Juan Vázquez. Vázquez silenced the Oklahoma City Prowlers, enabling San Diego to grab the 2-1 win. Vázquez went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-2. Zong-yuan Sang was credited with the save for San Diego, his 1st of the season.

San Diego left fielder Robbie Colwill contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a slider into right field for a run-scoring double. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Hops ahead, 2-0.

"Sometimes, you can be too aggressive," said Oklahoma City manager Jorge Valdéz. "You need to let the game come to you."

The Prowlers fall to 11-16 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2032 season.
