Stogies Get Road Win, 3-1
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Havana Stogies and the Vancouver Pioneers, Felipe Arreola was the difference-maker. The Havana right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-1 win. Arreola got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 8 hits and walked 1 over 7.2 innings. Arreola allowed 1 earned run. Teguh Suharto closed it out for his 11th save.
It could have been a different outcome for Havana, had it not been for Chong-yeol Pak, the 28-year old third baseman . Pak contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Havana up, 3-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Arreola told the Havana Daily.
With their winning streak at 4, the Stogies have raced to a strong start this season.
